From the shed to the river
StowAway Crab Co. was born on the water during a family crabbing trip. With pots piled high on the boat, a stubbed toe, a tangled rod, and plenty of laughs, the crew realised something needed to change. Crabbing was supposed to be fun, not a fight with bulky gear.
That moment planted the seed: “There’s got to be a better way.”
From Idea to Innovation
Back home, the idea wouldn’t let go. Nights and early mornings were spent tinkering in the shed, teaching themselves to sew nets, experiment with materials, and even 3D print custom parts. Everyone pitched in, cutting, stitching, testing, and refining until the first StowAway pot came to life: a full-sized crab pot that collapses neatly into a waterproof dry bag.
